WHAT IS LINXCONNECT?
LinxConnect is a web- and phone-based unified communications service that provides a single point of access to integrate all your voice, fax and email communications. LinxConnect allows you to connect to important callers and gives you access to messages and faxes with one local or toll free phone number or Internet connection.

WHO NEEDS LINXCONNECT?
Anyone who spends time on the road or works outside of a traditional office needs the LinxConnect service. If it is important to you that your callers reach you quickly and easily, while you retain control over which calls you take, you will soon wonder how you managed without LinxConnect.

DO I HAVE TO BUY A SPECIAL PHONE SYSTEM TO USE IT?
No, you don't need to buy anything new. LinxConnect is a subscription- based service. You don't need any special hardware or software to use it. It works with any wire-line or wireless phone and can also be integrated with your organization's existing voice mail system.

HOW DOES LINXCONNECT WORK?
When a caller dials your LinxConnect service, the system asks the caller for his or her name, and rings simultaneously up to three different phone numbers and a pager, if you have one. When you answer, LinxConnect announces the caller and you have the option of taking the call, sending it to voice mail or redirecting it to a colleague.

CAN I ACCESS LINXCONNECT OVER THE INTERNET?
Yes. LinxConnect's Web interface allows you to manage calls and messages using a Web browser on your PC. With the click of a mouse, you can listen to voicemail messages, place calls, view and print faxes, manage speed dial lists, and change telephone numbers and your availability. In addition, it enables you to send voice and fax messages as e-mail attachments to any Internet-based e-mail address.

CAN LINXCONNECT HELP MANAGE MY FAXES?
Yes. LinxConnect provides extensive faxing functions, including fax store and forward, fax delivery and fax routing. You can eliminate a dedicated fax machine and use LinxConnect to store your faxes and then send them to any fax machine you choose. LinxConnect receives your faxes, notifies you when they come in, and allows you to print and review them at your convenience. In addition, as described above, with LinxConnect's Internet-based unified communications manager, viewing and downloading faxes has become even easier: if you have access to a web browser, you can view and print faxes with a few simple clicks of your mouse. You can also forward them to email or save them as files on your PC.

DO I HAVE TO CHANGE MY PHONE NUMBER?
No. You can have your calls forwarded from your present number(s) to your LinxConnect service.

I HAVE TO GIVE MY IMPORTANT CLIENTS AND CONTACTS FOUR PHONE NUMBERS TO REACH ME. WILL THIS BE MY FIFTH?
No. You only need to provide one phone number - your LinxConnect number- to all your clients and contacts. You don't even need to provide a separate number for faxes since LinxConnect can handle faxes as well as voice calls.

I ALREADY HAVE TO CHECK MULTIPLE VOICE MAILBOXES. WILL THIS BE ANOTHER?
No. LinxConnect was created to consolidate communications technologies and will leave messages in the voice mailbox of your choice. One of the unique features of the LinxConnect service is its ability to seamlessly integrate with other existing systems, such as your home or office voice mail. You can use Linx voice mail or you can use your own.

HOW DOES LINXCONNECT KNOW WHERE TO FIND ME?
LinxConnect rings up to three locations of your choice simultaneously (work, car, and home, for example). You can change your location or your availability at any time and from any location with simple and quick touch-tone commands.

WHAT IF I DO NOT ALWAYS WANT TO BE AVAILABLE?
With LinxConnect, you are always in control. By screening all calls, LinxConnect allows you to take the calls you want or need and send others to voice mail or to a colleague or assistant. In addition, you can make yourself unavailable at any time with a simple touch tone command, so that calls will automatically go to voice mail. You can also provide special privileges to certain callers, allowing them to override your unavailability and reach you using simple touch-tone key commands.

IF I AM IN THE OFFICE, DO I HAVE THE OPTION OF TAKING CALLS WITHOUT SCREENING?
Yes. LinxConnect will ring your desk first (if you so choose), without screening. If you do not answer within three rings, the caller will be forwarded to your LinxConnect service.

HOW DO I KNOW IF MESSAGES ARE WAITING IN MY MAILBOX?
In addition to ringing up to three different phone numbers to find you, LinxConnect can send a message to your pager, or to any device with an e-mail address (such as a PCS phone or PC), to alert you to incoming messages.
