Newton, Mass. - October 2, 2000 - Linx Communications, Inc., a leading communications Application Service Provider (ASP) delivering unified communications and messaging services to businesses and individuals, today announced that its board of directors has appointed Dr. Alice Hsin as president and CEO. Hsin had acted as interim president and CEO of Linx since August 14, 2000.
"Alice has already made a visible difference at Linx in the last six weeks," said Gary Lasher, chairman of Linx. "Her outstanding leadership skills and industry vision has had a great impact on the company. Her experience both nationally and internationally has been so valuable as Linx continues to expand into new markets."

Hsin is a leading expert in the post divestiture telecommunications industry in the areas of integrated telecommunications systems, services and applications. As the founder of Integral Communications, Inc., a leading provider of telecommunication and IT services worldwide, Hsin directed technology projects and provided strategic consulting to a range of government agencies including the Department of Treasury, Department of Defense, and to the secure web and system integration industries. Hsin is also president of Hsin Investments, a Washington, DC-based investment company, and one of the participants in Linx' second round of financing, specializing in global technology-based companies in optical fiber communications, information technologies, and secure web technology.
