Managing your Linx Account
- Changing Your Availability
When you are going about your day - spending time in the office, on the road, or in your home office - you should make yourself available. That way, when a caller tries to reach you, their call will ring your 3 designated phones and you will have the opportunity to take the call.
|
|
TIP:
Changing your availability and phone numbers using LinxWeb is quick and easy!
|
However, there are some times when you can't take calls and you want all callers to be sent to voice mail. When you are unavailable, your Linx account acts much like a voice mail account. Your unavailable greeting is played, so callers know that you are not taking calls - they are given the option to leave a message.
To change your availability, press 5 from the main menu.
Once you press 5 from the main menu, simply:
Press 2 - To mark yourself unavailable
Press 3- To be available at all times
Press 4- To change phone number availability
|
|
TIP:
If you make yourself unavailable (unable to take calls) but you are expecting an important call, simply tell your caller to press 8 to get through to you (even though you are unavailable). You may also attach a caller access code to make sure only urgent calls get through. (see Profile)
|
- Once you press 4, simply:
Press 1 - Enable your primary number
- Press 2 - Disable your primary number
- Press 3 - Enable your follow me number
- Press 4 - Disable your follow me number
- Press 5 - Enable your second follow me number
- Press 6 - Disable your second follow me number
