Managing your Linx Account
 When you switch between being available and unavailable, you need not worry about putting in new greetings. When you set up your account, you create standard greetings that will be used when you make yourself available and unavailable. A review of those greetings follows:

Name Recording: The name recording is used by the system to identify your account. This recording is also used if you are a member of a calling group and you are included in a spell by name directory.

Unavailable Recording: This recording will be played when you make yourself unavailable. In it, you should let callers know that you are unable to take calls and they should press 2 and leave you a message.*

Personal Greeting (available): Your personal greeting is played to callers when you are available. In it, you should explain to callers that they may try to reach you by pressing 1 or they may leave a message by pressing 2.*

*If you have designated a Personal Operator, you should also let people know (in your Unavailable Recording and your Personal Greeting) how to reach your Personal Operator.

Temporary Greeting: The temporary greeting overrides all other greetings and should be used to let callers know about any special circumstances or instructions. For example, in a temporary greeting, you would let people know that you are on vacation and that while they may leave you a message, they may find it more helpful to call your colleague, who is in the office. This greeting will be played until you delete it from your account.

If you need to change your recordings at any time, press 3 from the main menu (Personal Options). Then press 3 again to change your recordings. You may then:

Press 1 - Change your name recording

Press 2 - Change your unavailable recording

Press 3 - Change your personal greeting (available)

Press 4 - Change your temporary greeting
TIP:
The temporary greeting overrides all others, so remove the temporary greeting from your account when you wish to use the unavailable recording and/or your personal greeting.
